ADVISORY COUNCIL ABOLISHED? - The provincial government has announced the end of our Advisory Council on the Status of Women, effective 1 April, 2011.

The role of the Advisory Council, as stated in the law that created us, is to bring before the government and the public matters of interest and concern to women, and to advise the Minister.  This proud mandate was given to us by New Brunswick women.

Women’s groups have started a blog ( www.advisoryactionconseil.wordpress.com ) to organize reaction to this government decision.
